Growing More Than Food
This project builds upon the currently established StreetLeader and Agrihood programming and the years of organizational experience in youth career development – increasing North Tulsa educational and vocational outcomes for our students.
The Agrihood program has existing connections to the surrounding community through the Hawthorne Neighborhood Fruit Tree Orchard and community urban farm. Our Agrihood StreetLeaders maintain these relationships through routine maintenance and door-to-door surveying. With the Agrihood Market project, our StreetLeaders will expand local food availability to residents, increase exposure to real-world market/business management, and provide hands-on educational materials for students and neighbors alike.
